Student Instructions for Video Submissions

Video submissions are done via an unlisted YouTube upload.  Once you have the completed uploading, set your video as unlisted and submit the link as a ‘Video Submission’ with your name, email, and class here.

Here are detailed instructions for uploading a video file to YouTube.

How to upload a video to YouTube 

  1. Log in to your Gmail account and go to https://www.youtube.com/

  2. Click on the video cam + icon at the top right-hand side of the window, which can be found next to your user icon, messages, apps, and notifications

  3. Click/Select ‘Upload Video.’ Then, press ‘select files to upload’ to find the video file saved on your computer. Or, you can drag and drop it into the window.

  4. Give it a title and description and click ‘next’.

  5. Click ‘Next’ on ‘Video elements’.

  6. Click ‘Next’ on ‘Checks’.

  7. Select ‘Unlisted’ under ‘Visibility’, then click ‘Save’

  8. Copy the YouTube link to the video and post it into the contact ‘Comment or Message’ section with your class information. Add your name and email in the appropriate sections, and Please Choose ‘Student Video Submission’.
